Between Central Florida humidity, sunscreen, sweat, pet dander and frequent hand washing, people with breakout-prone skin often notice flare-ups during busy rescue seasons. A few simple habits can make a real difference, and none of them require an overflowing bathroom shelf.
Keep the routine simple
For acne-prone skin, a short, consistent routine usually works better than a long list of products. Look for a gentle cleanser, a lightweight moisturiser labelled non-comedogenic, and a broad-spectrum sunscreen you will actually wear outdoors. Ingredients such as salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and adapalene are widely used for breakouts, but they can irritate, so introduce one at a time. A dermatologist or pharmacist can help you choose what suits your skin, especially if breakouts are persistent or painful.
Habits that help around animals
